missing

I think I fret and I ponder
On just what’s the point of kissing
Cause once two lips do part their ways
You’re then only left there missing

And missing is the hardest part
Of any love that’s walked away
You hang your head you’ve hung your heart
On the big hopes that it would stay

But now as you look way deep down
Upon the remnants of your soul
Where once there beat passion so deep
Now all that you see is a hole

You fill it full with pretty things
That you hope just might make you sing
But all you hear’s a hollow bell
Way much too much far gone to ring

So you cry and cry it all out
Mourning what you thought you had had
Dry your eyes walk up to the sun
And realize it’s not quite that bad

Cause new days come and new days go
And new love soon just may spring up
Fill up your heart with liquid gold
And then soon overflow your cup

For missing you is hard I guess
But yet not quite the end of days
For if you let love in your heart
It’ll spring forth so many ways!
